TVC Virtual Summit Series

More details released on upcoming “TVC Virtual Summit Series” plans

The Tennessee Valley Corridor (TVC) released additional details yesterday on how its 25th anniversary celebration will unfold in today’s virtual environment for large events. The TVC 25th Annual Summit will be a Virtual Summit Series convening participants from across the Corridor and beyond for a FREE five-week series of online sessions beginning Thursday, July 16th.

Originally scheduled as a two-day, normal conference in late May at Milligan University in Johnson City and delayed until mid-July, the event has been converted to a five-part series of 90-minute virtual sessions starting July 16 and continuing for four consecutive Thursdays. Each program will begin at 1 p.m. EDT/12 noon CDT. The topics by date are as follows:

July 16 – “The Appalachian Highlands Meeting the Challenge”;
July 23 – “Huntsville & Oak Ridge – Science & Technology in the TVC”;
July 30 – “Public Power Fueling Economic Growth in the TVC”;
August 6 – “America’s New National Security Challenges”; and
August 13 – “Meeting TVC’s Workforce Challenges.”
There will be no registration fee charged, and registration will open next week.

Speakers already announced include three members of Tennessee’s Congressional delegation – Representative Chuck Fleischmann, the TVC’s top volunteer, and two retiring members of Congress – Senator Lamar Alexander and Representative Phil Roe.
