AI & Cybersecurity: What you need to know

The implications of Artificial Intelligence (AI) can sometimes be misunderstood. However, AI has the potential to significantly impact the economy. Economic developers need to understand AI’s true capabilities and how it can benefit their communities. In this TCED elective course, participants will learn from experts about AI's transformative potential on productivity, innovation and economic growth. Common concerns surrounding AI will be addressed providing a roadmap for integrating AI effectively and responsibly. 

Cybersecurity cannot be ignored in today's digital world.  Participants will gain insights into cybersecurity and receive updates on the latest cybercrime threats.  This course will also include tips on how to protect yourself, and your community from these threats on both personal and organizational levels.  Topics include cybersecurity hygiene, cloud security as well as the new challenges brought on by the rise in AI. 

This course is one of a series of economic development courses, provided by UT Center for Industrial Services (UT CIS), designed to share best practices and trends with Tennessee’s economic development practitioners, private industry leaders, community leaders and elected officials.​

Registration $195

The registration fee covers course materials and instruction. Registration is limited to 50 participants and is filled on a first-come, first-served basis.  

IMPORTANT NOTICE:  Please remit payment for the course no later than 10 days prior to the course start date.  If payment is not received, you risk having your registration cancelled to make room for those on the waitlist.

Cancellation and Refund Policy:
