Technology Days Event
Many of you in East Tennessee know that our Tennessee Manufacturing Extension Partnership (TMEP) has partnered with UT Knoxville to create the East Tennessee Initiative for Smart Energy Management (ETISE).
Another partner is the Department of Energy's Better Buildings, Better Plants and Better Climate Team. On February 7-8, 2024, this Team will sponsor Technology Days, at Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL).
Technology Days aim to expose manufacturers to the various early-stage technologies best positioned to enable American industrial competitiveness and innovation. Additionally, the event highlights the lab resources and expertise that companies can access to tackle challenging industry problems, as well as technology deployment efforts at the labs. Technology Days have inspired several discussions between manufacturers and the Labs about R&D collaboration!
At Technology Days, attendees have the unique opportunity to:
- TOUR state-of-the-art facilities at National Labs;
- VIEW first-hand demonstrations of innovative technologies under development;
- HEAR from experts from the Lab and industry;
- LEARN how to easily leverage research and technologies through lab-industry partnerships; and,
- NETWORK with lab technologists, entrepreneurs, other manufacturers, and thought-leaders from the industrial sector
