CIS Leads the Way in Advancing Training Excellence
Staff Earn Prestigious Facilitation Certification

CIS continues to set the standard in professional development, with eight staff members recently graduating from the Institute for Public Service’s Facilitation Skills for Trainers Certification Program.

Congratulations to Debbie Barber, Veronica Clark, Tintin Czach, and Bernadette Fuller, who successfully completed the year-long program and earned the title of Institute for Public Service Certified Training Professional on July 21 in Nashville.

Harold Booker, Kim Denton, Autumn Derrick, Jennifer Eppley followed, earning their certification on August 11 in Knoxville.

As part of their final assessment, each graduate delivered a “teach back” session, showcasing the new facilitation techniques they’ve integrated into their current courses. Their commitment to enhancing learning experiences reflects CIS’s broader mission to provide exceptional training and technical assistance.

They join the ranks of previous CIS graduates from the 2023–24 pilot program: Andy Deakins, Rick Durham, Greg Ford, Danny Norman, and Tim Waldo—further strengthening CIS’s reputation for training excellence.

Congratulations to all our certified trainers for their hard work and dedication!

New cohorts in Nashville and Knoxville will begin this fall.
