TCED Goes Virtual for Summer Course

The TCED Program has adapted to the ‘new normal’ as a result of COVID-19 and has been working hard to find a solution that provides quality programming and ensures participant and employee safety, which is why UT CIS will be hosting the Tennessee Managing Economic Development Course online June 24-25. This is the first time a TCED course has been offered virtually, and the TCED team is excited about providing this interesting, interactive training.

Our goal is to make this training as close to an in-person TCED training as possible.  However, some changes will include more breaks, a balance of course content and discussion, and a shorter duration over the two days to help you stay focused and engaged.  Course fees have been reduced to $300 since you’ll have to bring your own lunch!  One thing that won’t change is that scholarships will still be available.

The TN Managing ED Course is a core course for TCEcD certification and now includes Strategic Planning.  Other topics include Managing Conflict, Navigating the Generational Divide, Project Management, Engaging Boards and Stakeholders, Media Relations and Measuring Performance, among others.  GC Hixson, Executive Director of the JECDB of Wilson County will moderate the course in addition to multiple presenters.  Click HERE for more information and registration.  We hope you can join us!
