Register to do business with the government

  1. Identify TAX ID No: https://www.irs.gov/businesses/small-businesses-self-employed/apply-for-an-employer-identification-number-ein-online
  2. Identify your NAICS Code(s): https://www.census.gov/eos/www/naics/
  3. Identify or create Duns NO.: https://iupdate.dnb.com/iUpdate/companylookup.htm
  4. Enter company name (in order for the system to look for an existing record)
  5. Have your Bank Account Number and Routing Number available
  6. Go to SAM.gov.The registration consists of two steps:
    1. Create User Account (step-by-step instructions click: SAM_Account_Creation.pdf)
    2. Register/Update Entity (step-by-step instructions click: SAM_New_Entity_Registration.pdf)
