Advanced Business Decision Seminar – Entering Nuclear/Energy Industry Supply Chain - Combined Course

Audience: Technical Manager and/or Chief Operating Officer type with technical understanding.

Objective: Nuclear projects have a history of complicated requirements and commercial arrangements. This seminar provides enough detailed information for a company to make cost/benefit of upgrading a Quality Assurance (QA) program and to assist with proposal preparation. Federal government contracting and laws relevant to US-based nuclear projects will be examined.

Nuclear Quality Systems Introduction

Objective: Provide detailed information for a company to know the long-lead actions necessary to upgrade a Quality Assurance program to work on nuclear projects.

Overview of requirements for a nuclear supplier

  • Discussion of the current nuclear market and how to leverage a QA program upgrade to access new opportunities
  • Description of how QA requirements are applied to these types of procurements.
  • Element-by-element requirements presented. Also focus on the difference between the audience (International Organization for Standardization (ISO) or other programs) and Nuclear Quality Assurance-1 (NQA-1)

Commercial Grade Dedication (New Release 5652) Course

Objective: This seminar describes the methodology used to dedicate commercial-grade items for use in nuclear safety-related applications. Guidelines for the Acceptance of Commercial-Grade Items in Nuclear Safety-Related Applications will be discussed as it relates to determining if an item should be subject to the commercial grade dedication processor controlled under the auspices of a QA program.

NQA-1 Internal Auditor 4-Day Class - New Course

Objective: Teaches the concepts of the Nuclear Quality Assurance-1 (NQA-1) standard and the principles and practices of effective internal audits in accordance with NQA-1. The clauses NQA-1 standard are explained in detail. The course will guide students through internal audits that are required for a NQA-1 quality management system.
