UT CIS Hosts First Ever Advanced Manufacturing Solutions Symposium

The Advanced Manufacturing Solutions Symposium included MEP staff from five different MEP Centers working with five different Manufacturing USA Institutes including Georgia MEP (NextFlex)MAGNET (AmericaMakes)Michigan Manufacturing Technology Center (LIFT)North Carolina MEP (CESMII) and Tennessee MEP (IACMI).  AMS provided manufacturers from across the south with the opportunity to learn more about composites, additive manufacturing, light weighting of metals, and flexible electronics and engage in instructive conversations about methods for increasing automotive manufacturing competitiveness.
 

Over 100 participants from  local manufacturing companies  learned  about the latest technologies coming from the nation’s top research institutes and how these innovations and the MEP Centers working with manufacturers across the country can strengthen their business and supply chain.
