environmental Compliance train-the-trainer program (2009 Schedule)

Training is not just a management activity. Employees need the tools to understand, teach, and monitor environmental compliance as well. This three-day program is for the worker or supervisor who must make environment-related business presentations or train personnel. A three-pronged approach teaches participants to:

  • Determine environmental laws applicable to your facility and the associated requirements.
  • Develop training materials suitable for facility employees.
  • Use results-oriented training techniques geared toward adult learners.

After participating in this program, more individuals can contribute to environmental compliance and help meet regulatory obligations. At the end of this program, participants will be able to:

  • Define the communication process necessary for effective training.
  • Overcome anxiety and nervousness associated with speaking in front of a group.
  • Plan, prepare, and apply training objectives.
  • Organize and develop training presentations in the appropriate formats.
  • Use facilitation skills.
  • Practice presentation skills.

Each participant will make a video presentation on an environmental topic applicable to their facility. After passing an exam testing regulatory knowledge and application of training techniques, participants will receive a Train-the-Trainer program certificate.
